Laura is committed to understanding her clients’ individual needs. Whether it's guiding a client through an M&A transaction, supporting them in an equity raise, or acting as external-general counsel, her goal is to provide practical legal advice that contributes to their business success.
In addition to her law practice, Laura, working with Hartley R. Nathan, KC, authors the 'Directors’ Briefing', a quarterly newsletter published by LexisNexis on contentious issues in the boardroom.

Laura's recent work includes M&A transactions in Canada and in the US, including acting for Lynx Equity Limited as in-house counsel on its acquisitions of:
* Henry’s: Canada’s Greatest Camera Store, a family owned business with over 20-locations across Canada and one of the largest stores in Canada’s digital imaging industry.
* Buse Timber & Sales Inc., a sawmill that predominantly serves the US West Coast and operates in niche commercial markets, located in Everett, Washington.
* Resource4Floors, a full-service commercial flooring contractor providing distribution and installation of flooring materials, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
* Excellent Signs, a signage manufacturer servicing various businesses across North America, located in London, Ontario.
* Granite Electric Ltd., one of the largest electrical contractors in Alberta and a leading provider of electrical and fiber optic contracting services, with a focus on telecommunication infrastructure, based in Calgary, Alberta.
